Story

In the fall

of 1999 Randy Hall, a former Amarillo teacher, began teaching at an elementary school on the Northeast side of Amarillo. Randy began to see that this community, which was made up of about 15 to 20 different countries, was full of suffering from physical poverty, broken families, and spiritual darkness. This began a deep burden in his heart to help these precious people. Over the next several years, even though Randy had changed professions, he would sometimes drive through this community with his family talking to them about the needs of these people and praying for them. He kept praying that God would somehow use him to bring help and hope to this desperate community.

In 2014, one evening while driving through this community, they took notice of how many people were at the local park in this community, and they decided it would be a great opportunity to stop and visit with some of the people and share the hope of Christ with them. They did this a few more times, but they never really had a set plan to engage these people with the gospel.

In the Fall of 2014, after hearing their pastor preach about the Great Commission and the importance of sharing the good news of Christ with the lost, God graciously provided an opportunity for our church family to go to this community with fresh baked cookies to hand out and gospel tracts in many different languages. They all set out knocking on doors and sharing the gospel with anyone who would listen while looking for needs they could meet to show the love of Christ.

One of the

first families they met was a widow who had lost her husband only 4 months earlier. She had 5 children, all under the age of 10, and she was pregnant with her sixth child. They were able to give her things she needed such as food, clothes for the children, blankets and pillows, shoes, and many things for the baby.

Most importantly they were able to share the gospel with her and her children, and they began a friendship and a Bible study in their home that still continues today. They came to know so many other families with great physical needs, needs for relationships, need for guidance for children and teens from fatherless homes, and the need for the gospel to transform their hearts and lives.

They continued to go to this community every Saturday with the goal of always meeting needs and sharing the gospel. But sadly their church had to close in the Fall of 2015. However, God graciously provided through many kind gifts for Randy and his family to start a non profit ministry so there would be a way to fund needs they see and be able to continue to grow these relationships and make new relationships all with the goal of speaking to them about our great God and His redemptive plan for His people.

By God’s goodness

they have been able to meet needs such as car repairs, house repairs like plumbing, electrical, fencing, help with rent and food, help with finding jobs and applying for jobs. They help with general things like navigating through our city and how to pay bills. They help with making doctor appointments and taking people to doctor appointments.

These are just some of the many ways this ministry is able to help this community with their needs. Their greatest joy and pleasure though is that they have gotten to share the gospel with over a thousand people from this community by engaging groups of people at the park, pizza parties at the park, Vacation Bible Schools, and knocking on doors throughout the community. There are also Bible studies throughout this community and others done through this ministry. They praise God that they have gotten to see Him turn many hearts from their false religions to serve and worship the true and living God.

They are so thankful to God for bringing these precious people to our country, and they long for many more people from many nations to come to know the name of Jesus and to call upon Him to be saved.

All glory for God alone!
